The Smart Biohome team has recently returned from the World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED), one of Europe’s most significant events dedicated to energy transition and climate neutrality. Held from February 24 to 27, 2026, at the Stadthalle Wels, Austria, this flagship conference brought together over 650 experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals from more than 60 countries to discuss innovative solutions for sustainable energy.

We were proud to actively participate and present BIOPLACE (www.bioplace.biz), our innovative IoT-connected bioenergy marketplace designed to transform how sustainable biomass products—such as wood pellets, briquettes, wood chips, and other bioenergy feedstocks—are traded, tracked, and optimized.

During the event, visitors to our stand had the opportunity to:

The timing could not have been better: just before WSED, EU Business News named Smart Biohome the winner of the Spanish Business Awards 2026 for its innovative green tech marketplace solution, BIOPLACE. This recognition underscores the platform’s role in fostering sustainable bioenergy markets through innovation, traceability, and efficiency.

The feedback and connections established at WSED were truly inspiring. Conversations with pellet producers, energy communities, industrial players, and policy experts confirmed the growing demand for digital tools like BIOPLACE to make bioenergy more accessible, competitive, and climate-friendly.
